Football Recap: Victor Valley Has No Trouble Against Granite Hills

After only seven points in their last contest, Victor Valley made sure to put some points up on the board against Granite Hills on Thursday. The Jackrabbits put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 42-21 victory. The result was nothing new for the Jackrabbits, who have now won five games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Robert Middlebrooks produced another solid effort throwing for 176 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 12-for-12 passing.

Victor Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 283 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Victor Valley's defense and their three sacks. Michael King was especially locked on to Granite Hills' QB and sacked him twice.

Victor Valley's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. As for Granite Hills, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Victor Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe Adelanto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Granite Hills will square off against rival Barstow at 7:30 p.m. on the 23rd.
