Basketball Recap: Melvindale Comes Up Short

Melvindale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Dearborn Pioneers and fell 74-4. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 682nd, while the Pioneers are ranked 181st).

Melvindale's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Dearborn, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-10.

Melvindale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dearborn, they will square off against Edsel Ford at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
