Baseball Recap: Hillcrest Comes Up Short

After flying high against Blackfoot last Thursday, Hillcrest came back down to earth. The Knights came up short against the Broncos on Friday, falling 23-2. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Broncos earlier this season, when they won 6-0.

Hillcrest saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Monroy, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Hillcrest's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Blackfoot, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Broncos beat Hillcrest by a score of 11-1 later that day.
