Football Game Preview: Hixson Wildcats vs. White County Warriors + Official Tickets

The Hixson Wildcats will face off against the White County Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. White County took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Hixson, who comes in off a win.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Hixson and Signal Mountain, and Hixson kept the tradition alive. The Wildcats walked away with a 19-9 win over the Eagles on Thursday.

Hixson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryan Burney, who picked up 39 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 38 yards. The Wildcats also got a significant boost from Adryoun Ad Stewart, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 110 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hixson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 275 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Hixson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Deuantre Baulding Jr and Burney. Another thorn in Signal Mountain's side was Alfonso Rivezzo, who picked up a sack and made seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for White County's offense. They took a hard 16-0 fall against Stone Memorial on Thursday. The Warriors have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Hixson has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.8 points over those games. As for White County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
