Basketball Recap: East Noble Comes Up Short

If East Noble was feeling good fresh off their 65-16 takedown of West Noble last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The East Noble Knights took a blow against the Norwell Knights on Friday, falling 81-41. The loss continues a trend for East Noble in their matchups with Norwell: they've now lost eight in a row.

Despite the defeat, East Noble saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Elli Will almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Will has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rian David, who posted eight points.

East Noble's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Norwell, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. East Noble will face off against Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Noble is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.4 points per game this season. As for Norwell, they will take on Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Norwell will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
