Softball Recap: Western Christian Takes a Loss

Western Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the River Valley Wolverines. If the Wolfpack were looking for revenge after losing 12-8 to the Wolverines when the teams met back in June of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Western Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for River Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western Christian will venture away from home to take on Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The NIGHTHAWKS have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.89 runs per game on average), something the Wolfpack will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for River Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Lawton-Bronson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
