Mansfield Homeschool barely beat Fort Worth Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights' pitchers stepped up to hand the Cardinals a 10-0 shutout on Monday. The win was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won ten contests in a row.

Jaxon Rickert looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ashton Widmer was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Titus Heefner was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Mansfield Homeschool's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-6-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Fort Worth Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 23-11-2 record this season.
