Recap: Cripple Creek-Victor Pioneers vs. Pikes Peak Christian Eagles

The Cripple Creek-Victor Pioneers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a tough 58-32 defeat at the hands of Pikes Peak Christian. Cripple Creek-Victor has not had much luck with Pikes Peak Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Cripple Creek-Victor lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Allyson Durham, who scored 11 points. Savanna Kisseberth was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five steals.

Sarah Harris was her usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with six steals and five assists for Pikes Peak Christian. That's the first time this season that Harris scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rebecca Thomas, who scored 12 points along with seven steals and five assists.

Cripple Creek-Victor has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Pikes Peak Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.

Cripple Creek-Victor will head out on the road to face off against Miami-Yoder at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pikes Peak Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hanover at 4:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Hanover is ranked 252nd, while Pikes Peak Christian is ranked 253rd).
