Basketball Recap: Margaretville Central Takes a Loss

Margaretville Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 66-20 defeat at the hands of the Jefferson Central Jayhawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 57-29 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2022.

Margaretville Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Jefferson Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Margaretville Central has already played their next game, a 26-20 loss against Middleburgh on the 16th. As for Jefferson Central, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Gilboa-Conesville Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th.
