Carlsbad.
The Cavemen outpaced the rest of the league this week, as their three total wins led the league. Carlsbad beat
Roswell 10-0,
Belen 10-0 and
Hobbs 3-1.
Josh Young's .538 batting average (7-for-13) for the Eagles was the best in the league this week. He's batting .563 on the year, which puts him at fourth in the league. Young has accumulated nine base knocks this year so far.
The week's strikeout crown belonged to
Erick Rangel, who turned in four Ks for Hobbs. With ten strikeouts this year so far, he ranks fourth in the league.
Austin Edwards drove in four runners as the Cavemen defeated the Coyotes 10-0 on Thursday. He went 3-for-3 and scored two runs.
Carlsbad's
Caleb Prentiss struck out ten the Eagles hitters en route to a 3-1 victory on March 9. He gave up six hits and one run over seven innings of work.
