 With a playoff game on the line, Rancho Alamitos rose to the challenge  on Thursday. They blew past the Coastal Christian Conquerors 9-1. The  victory was nothing new for Rancho Alamitos as they're now sitting on four straight.
  Henry Garcia made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits over 4.1 innings pitched. Garcia has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in six consecutive pitching appearances. Garcia was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Luis Solorzano, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Rancho Alamitos pushed their record up to 15-9 with that  win, which was their sixth straight  at home. As for Coastal Christian, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 7-10.
 Rancho Alamitos will head out on the road to  take on  San Bernardino at 3:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. One thing working in San Bernardino's favor is that they have posted big  run totals  in their last four games. Coastal Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
