Baseball Game Preview: Durango Trailblazers vs. Pinecrest Academy Cadence Cougars

For the second straight game, Durango will face off against Pinecrest Academy Cadence. The Trailblazers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Durango has 12 straight wins, Pinecrest Academy Cadence has 13 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Durango is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Pinecrest Academy Cadence get on the board and left with a 30-0 victory on Tuesday. The Trailblazers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.

Teagan Payne made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.
