Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They beat Thales Academy Apex by a goal, winning 2-1.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 4-7. As for Neuse Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Everything went Neuse Christian Academy's way against Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Neuse Christian Academy made off with a 3-0 victory.
