Volleyball Game Preview: Northwest Christian School Crusaders vs. Newport Grizzlies + How To Watch

Northwest Christian School is on a six-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Newport is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Crusaders will host the Grizzlies at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Northwest Christian School had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Chewelah on Thursday. The Crusaders put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 3-0 win.

Meanwhile, Newport made easy work of St. George's on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Newport was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-10, 25-16.

Newport's win came from a few key players Northwest Christian School will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Lindsay-Rose Collison, who had six kills, four digs, three blocks, and three aces. Those three aces gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kayla Earl, who had eight kills, six digs, and two aces.

Northwest Christian School's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Newport, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
