Basketball Recap: Watersmeet Takes a Loss

Watersmeet lost against Dollar Bay back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Watersmeet Nimrods were dealt a 63-33 defeat at the hands of the Dollar Bay Bays. The Nimrods have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aubrey Karppinen was a one-woman wrecking crew for Dollar Bay as she almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards. What's more, Karppinen also posted a 54% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kiera Isaacson, who posted six points and 16 rebounds.

Watersmeet's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Dollar Bay, they pushed their record up to 7-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Watersmeet will take on Wright at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dollar Bay, they will challenge Baraga at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
