Recap: Hamburg Hawks vs. Berks Catholic Saints
The matchup between the Hamburg Hawks and the Berks Catholic Saints on Friday hardly resembled the 9-0 effort from their previous meeting. Hamburg received a tough blow as they fell 40-21 to Berks Catholic. Hamburg has not had much luck with Berks Catholic recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Berks Catholic had a senior duo take command as Connor Pennington rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries and Michael Bradley rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Pennington was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 59 yards. Berks Catholic also got a significant boost from Devin Garcia, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 85 yards.
Hamburg's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Berks Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
Hamburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Berks Catholic also has no future games currently scheduled.
