Soccer Game Preview: Veritas Christian Academy vs. Gloucester County Christian

The Veritas Christian Academy Lions will take on the Gloucester County Christian Conquerors at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.

Veritas Christian Academy played against Kearny Christian Academy on Thursday and won via forfeit.

Gloucester County Christian is coming into the matchup fresh off a high-scoring shootout with King's Christian that saw the pair combine for 19 shots on goal. Neither the Conquerors nor the Knights could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw. The only reason Gloucester County Christian dodged a loss was the performance of Brady Gesin, who scored every single goal for the team.

The victory made it two in a row for Veritas Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 4-7-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored seven goals over those two matches. Gloucester County Christian's draw gives them a new season record of 9-4-2.

Everything went Veritas Christian Academy's way against Gloucester County Christian in their previous meeting back in October of 2023, as Veritas Christian Academy made off with a 3-0 victory.
