Baseball Recap: Frostproof Takes a Loss

Frostproof was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 5-2 to the Four Corners Coyotes, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Frostproof got a good showing from Edusbel Guardado, who tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Ricky Wilson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two triples and one run. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Luke Thornton, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Frostproof's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Four Corners, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Frostproof will take on Victory Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Four Corners, they will face off against Wekiva at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
