Baseball Recap: Whittier Christian Comes Up Short

Whittier Christian lost against Maranatha back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Heralds fell just short of the Minutemen by a score of 2-1. The Heralds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Whittier Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zion Park, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Whittier Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Maranatha, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-6-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Minutemen beat Whittier Christian by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.
