Volleyball Recap: Bethany Community Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Bethany Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Cornerstone Charter Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-7, 25-10.

Cornerstone Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ashley Belland led the charge by getting three digs and three aces. Belland has been hot, having also posted 14 or more assists the last seven times she's played. Aubrey Kimball was another key player, getting 11 digs and five assists.

Bethany Community's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Cornerstone Charter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Bethany Community is set to square off against their familiar foe Triad Math and Science Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cornerstone Charter will challenge rival Millennium at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
