The Central Dragons will square off against the Huntingdon Bearcats at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.1 runs per game this season.

Central barely beat Hollidaysburg the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dragons put the hurt on the Golden Tigers with a sharp 17-6 win on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Golden Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Kyle Klotz was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI. Jay Hoenstine was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .634. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2024.

Meanwhile, Huntingdon suffered their closest defeat since April 10, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Chestnut Ridge by a score of 5-3. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Connor Moore made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple. He has become a key player for Huntingdon: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Brock Bryson, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

Central's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Huntingdon, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Central took their win against Huntingdon in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Do the Dragons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bearcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
