Baseball Recap: Four Straight Road Victories for Fairless

Fairless is still undefeated this season after their game against Manchester on Wednesday, but Manchester came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Falcons came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Panthers. While the Falcons didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Logan Barkan spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits.

On the hitting side, Mike Ritterbeck was excellent, going 3-for-5 with two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Lucas Eberly was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Fairless' win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Manchester, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Fairless will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Comets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.75 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Manchester, they are taking a road trip to face off against Garfield at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
