Baseball Game Preview: Springfield Cougars vs. Harriton Rams

The Springfield Cougars will face off against the Harriton Rams at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Springfield is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Springfield fell victim to Strath Haven and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 6-0.

Meanwhile, Harriton didn't have quite enough to beat Ridley last Friday and fell 4-3.

Harriton saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Siegel, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5. Those hits marked the first that Siegel got this season.

Siegel wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Harriton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.

Harriton's loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Springfield, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-3.

Springfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Harriton when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. Will Springfield repeat their success, or does Harriton has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
