Softball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Riverview

Riverview waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Dexter Dreadnaughts by a score of 6-3.

Olivia Salinas was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Salinas was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

In other batting news, Sienna Logan was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Alexis Ferrara was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Riverview's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-8-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Dexter, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8-1.

Riverview wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-4 win against Chelsea on the 29th. Dexter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
