Recap: Classical Prep Lions vs. Bishop McLaughlin Catholic Hurricanes
The Classical Prep Lions suffered their biggest defeat since November 30, 2023 on Friday. They were outmatched by Bishop McLaughlin Catholic on the road and fell 66-29. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Classical Prep in their matchups with Bishop McLaughlin Catholic: they've now lost three in a row.
Wilner Rene was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 18 rebounds for Bishop McLaughlin Catholic. Another player making a difference was Jake Mekdeci, who scored six points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Classical Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Bishop McLaughlin Catholic, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
