Basketball Recap: Portville Takes a Loss

After flying high against Cassadaga Valley last Friday, Portville came back down to earth. The Portville Panthers took a 67-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gowanda Panthers. The defeat continues a trend for Portville in their matchups with Gowanda: they've now lost three in a row.

Portville's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Gowanda, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-6.

When Portville and Gowanda next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Portville will face off against Frewsburg and their three-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Gowanda will try to stop Panama's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
