Softball Recap: Timberlake Extends Winning Streak to Three

Timberlake had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Bonners Ferry Badgers as they made off with a 7-1 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Shae Jones was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 21 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Timberlake got a big performance out of Reese Allaway, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave Allaway a new career-high. Alannah Winland was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Timberlake kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bonners Ferry only managed one hit.

Timberlake pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Bonners Ferry, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Timberlake beat the Badgers by a score of 15-0 later that day.
