Volleyball Recap: Faith Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Faith Academy lost against St. Luke's Episcopal last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rams fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Faith Academy actually scored more points across those five sets (102-94), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 9-25, 20-25, 25-20, 25-19, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Faith Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kyleigh Grosz had 16 digs and two assists. Grosz is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

St. Luke's Episcopal found their leader in sophomore Emma Kate Frazier, who had 25 digs and four aces. Those 25 digs set a new season-high mark for Frazier. Another player making a difference was Lauren Watson, who had 13 digs.

Faith Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for St. Luke's Episcopal, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Faith Academy will challenge Mary G. Montgomery at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Luke's Episcopal, they will face off against Auburn at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
