Basketball Recap: Progreso Comes Up Short

Progreso was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were dealt an 82-30 defeat at the hands of the IDEA Sports Park Stingrays. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Stingrays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-29 back in December of 2025.

Progreso's loss dropped their record down to 4-22. As for IDEA Sports Park, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Progreso will take on rival IDEA Robindale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, IDEA Sports Park is set to challenge their familiar foe Lyford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
