Volleyball Recap: Hialeah Takes a Loss

Hialeah had lost nine straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 0-8 to make it ten. They lost 3-0 to the Hialeah Educational Academy Biggie. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Biggie this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

As for Hialeah Educational Academy, they now have a winning record of 7-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for they.

Leading Hialeah Educational Academy to victory were Emily Ortega and Nicole Aguila. Ortega had two aces and one block, while Aguila had 13 aces. Ortega is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Looking ahead, Hialeah will host JC Bermudez Doral at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hialeah Educational Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Hialeah-Miami Lakes at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
