Volleyball Recap: Phelps Takes a Loss

Phelps was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Tug Valley Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-14, 25-8.

Aerionna Pigman paced Phelps' offense, picking up four kills. Pigman got some help from Cloey Bevins and her 12 assists. Pigman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Phelps' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Tug Valley, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Phelps wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Mingo Central on the 11th. As for Tug Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Tolsia on the 10th.
