Baseball Recap: Denbigh's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Denbigh put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Heritage Hurricanes 13-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Patriots also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Russel Clark was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Clark was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jamaal Jones, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. Jones is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Luis Caez-Rodriquez, who scored three runs and stole two bases.

Denbigh was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .346 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Denbigh's record is now 3-0. As for Heritage, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Denbigh will have a chance to go back-to-back against Heritage: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
