Baseball Recap: Eastern Hancock Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Eastern Hancock can now relate to. They fell just short of the Indianapolis Lutheran Saints by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. The Royals were not able to make up for their loss to the Saints from their previous meeting back in April of 2018.

Eastern Hancock saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Jenkins, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one double.

Eastern Hancock's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Indianapolis Lutheran, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-12-1 record this season.

Eastern Hancock does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Indianapolis Lutheran, they will challenge Heritage Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
