Volleyball Recap: Owensboro Catholic Takes a Loss

Owensboro Catholic lost against South Warren back in September of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Aces took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The Aces have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-19.

South Warren's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kenzie Garrison led the charge by getting nine digs and two assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniella Newman, who had 12 assists and three digs.

Owensboro Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10. As for South Warren, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Owensboro Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Bryan Station on the 27th. As for South Warren, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Frederick Douglass on the 27th.
