Football Game Preview: Franklinton Demons vs. North DeSoto Griffins + Official Tickets

The Franklinton Demons will face off against the North DeSoto Griffins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Franklinton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 40-14 margin over Jennings. Winning may never get old, but the Demons sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Meanwhile, North DeSoto won against Bossier on November 6th with 56 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Griffins took their game with ease, bagging a 56-13 victory over DeRidder. Given the Griffins' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Dragons are ranked 130th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

North DeSoto's win came from a few key players Franklinton will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kenny Thomas, who rushed for 141 yards and two scores on only 12 carries. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Braelyn Latin was in the mix too, providing North DeSoto with two touchdowns.

North DeSoto was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 296 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 214 rushing yards in 12 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Franklinton's record now sits at 9-3. As for North DeSoto, their record is now 11-0.
