Basketball Recap: San Angelo Central Takes a Loss

San Angelo Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 29-28 heartbreaker at the hands of the Brenham Cubs.

Brenham was led to victory by Antyianna Lang and Janiyah Mathis. Lang posted nine points and eight boards, while Mathis earned four points and six rebounds. Lang has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played.

San Angelo Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Brenham, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Angelo Central and Graham will round out the year against one another at at 2:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Brenham, they will square off against A&M Consolidated at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
