Baseball Game Preview: Watertown Goslings vs. Beaver Dam Golden Beavers

For the second straight game, Watertown will face off against Beaver Dam. The Goslings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Golden Beavers at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games Watertown has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Watertown came out on top against Beaver Dam on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Goslings won by a run and slipped past the Golden Beavers 5-4. The victory continues a trend for the Goslings in their matchups with the Golden Beavers: they've now won eight in a row.

Ashton Johnson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Watertown's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Hurtgen, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Watertown's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-7. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games.
