Softball Preview: Minarets Mustangs vs. Yosemite Badgers
Minarets and Yosemite are an even 3-3-1 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Minarets Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Yosemite Badgers at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Minarets is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home.
Last Wednesday, Minarets came up short against Sierra and fell 12-8.
Meanwhile, Yosemite unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Riverdale by a score of 12-10. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
Jadyn Johnson was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5. Jada Matthewson was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.
Minarets' loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Yosemite, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-2.
