Basketball Recap: Norton Snags Fourth Victory in Last Five Games

Phillipsburg came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Norton, but Eli Jones wouldn't allow it. The Norton Bluejays came out on top against the Phillipsburg Panthers by a score of 59-50 on Friday thanks in part to Jones, who went 13 for 20 on his way to 33 points and eight rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 16.9 points per game.

Tyler Stewart was another key player, putting up five points and six boards. What's more, he also racked up two steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2023.

Norton is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Phillipsburg, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-6.
