Basketball Recap: Apostolic Christian Snags 17th Victory in Last 19 Games

Apostolic Christian saw some tournament action on Friday. They took down the Brevard Christian War Eagles 74-58. Given Apostolic Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 249th in Tennessee, while Brevard Christian is ranked 620th in Florida), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Apostolic Christian found their leader in sophomore Rogan Bailey, who shot 77% from the field on his way to 25 points in addition to seven steals and six boards. With that strong performance, Bailey is now averaging an impressive 15 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Wilson, who went 7-for-9 en route to 20 points and five assists.

Apostolic Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They are 23-6 when they've passed the ball that well.

Apostolic Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points over those games. Brevard Christian now has a losing record of 16-17.
