Soccer Game Preview: Rancho Cucamonga vs. Etiwanda

The Rancho Cucamonga Cougars will take on the Etiwanda Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Rancho Cucamonga's offense. They fell just short of Los Osos by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Cougars came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Grizzlies are ranked 433rd).

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Etiwanda's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They and Chino Hills finished up their game with a 0-0 draw.

Etiwanda's draw makes their record 12-3-2 this season. As for Rancho Cucamonga, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5-3.
