Football Game Preview: Elite Eagles vs. Woodland Christian Cardinals + Official Tickets

The Elite Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Woodland Christian Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Elite has given up an average of 48 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Elite is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. The matchup between the Eagles and Lindhurst didn't end well, with the Eagles falling 41-22.

Despite the loss, Elite got top-tier performance from Ma'Kai Little, who threw for 175 yards and three TDs on only ten passes.

Meanwhile, Woodland Christian had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They breezed past the Mavericks to the tune of 42-8. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.

Woodland Christian's win came from a few key players Elite will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Isaiah Hunt, who threw for 279 yards and three touchdowns while completing 91.3% of his passes. What's more, he racked up 23 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Elliott Holleman, who gained 138 total yards and a touchdown.

Elite's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Woodland Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Elite took a serious blow against Woodland Christian in their previous meeting back in September of 2023, falling 50-0. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
