Basketball Recap: Grace Baptist Academy Comes Up Short

Grace Baptist Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 90-40 loss at the hands of the Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 359th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 52nd).

Grace Baptist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Boyd-Buchanan, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Baptist Academy will challenge Notre Dame at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Notre Dame is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.7 points per game this season. As for Boyd-Buchanan, they will square off against CSTHEA at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Boyd-Buchanan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.
