Basketball Recap: Switzerland County Takes a Loss

Switzerland County lost against Southwestern back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Switzerland County Pacers took a blow against the Southwestern Rebels, falling 56-28. The Pacers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southwestern to victory, but perhaps none more so than Olivia Simpson, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. Simpson continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Harlee Hill, who posted 11 points and six boards.

Switzerland County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Southwestern, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6.

Switzerland County has already played their next match, a 56-29 loss against Lawrenceburg on the 17th. As for Southwestern, they will host Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
