Baseball Game Preview: Edgewater Eagles vs. Colonial Grenadiers

The Edgewater Eagles will take on the Colonial Grenadiers in a tournament on Wednesday.

Edgewater is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Innovation just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Bulls by a score of 5-4.

Caron Victor made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Three bases. Those stolen bases marked the first that he snagged this season.

Meanwhile, Colonial got the win against Jones on Monday by a conclusive 15-4. The result was nothing new for the Grenadiers, who have now won three matches by 11 runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Colonial and bumps their season record up to 4-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Edgewater, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Everything went Edgewater's way against Colonial in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Edgewater made off with a 10-0 victory. Will Edgewater repeat their success, or does Colonial have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
