Baseball Game Preview: Sandusky Blue Streaks vs. Huron Tigers

The Sandusky Blue Streaks will head out to challenge the Huron Tigers at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Sandusky fell victim to Bellevue and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 8-0 to the Redmen. The Blue Streaks haven't had much luck with the Redmen recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, Huron hadn't done well against Vermilion recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Sailors. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won four contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Landon Hohler, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Huron is undefeated when Hohler posts two or more runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Max Jacobs was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Sandusky's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Huron, they moved to 6-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Sandusky might still be hurting after the 14-2 loss they got from Huron in their previous matchup back in April of 2022. Can the Blue Streaks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
