Softball Recap: Schenectady Comes Up Short

Schenectady lost to Schalmont back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Patriots came up short against the Sabres, falling 24-3.

Schenectady's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Schalmont, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Schenectady will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Schoharie at 4:30 p.m. on the 13th. As for Schalmont, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mohonasen at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Sabres' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
