Basketball Game Preview: Pallotti Panthers vs. Mount St. Joseph Gaels

Pallotti hasn't had much luck against Mount St. Joseph recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Pallotti Panthers will head out to face off against the Mount St. Joseph Gaels at 7:00 p.m.

Pallotti is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. The game between them and Our Lady of Mount Carmel didn't end well, with Pallotti falling 70-53. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Cougars are ranked ninth).

Meanwhile, Mount St. Joseph entered their tilt with McDonogh on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 65-45 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Gaels have posted since December 9, 2024.

Pallotti's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Mount St. Joseph, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.

Pallotti might still be hurting after the 69-46 loss they got from Mount St. Joseph when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Pallotti avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
