Recap: Winter Springs Bears vs. International Community Comets
There's no place like home for the Winter Springs Bears, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They blew past International Community 72-45 at home. Given Winter Springs' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while International Community is ranked 589th), the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Winter Springs got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Joey Brady out in front who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Saige Carnegie, who scored 14 points.
Winter Springs' win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for International Community, their loss was their tenth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-14.
Winter Springs won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Circle Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. One thing working in Circle Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. International Community won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Faith Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Faith Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 64.2 points per game.
