Basketball Recap: Santa Fe Indians vs. Angleton Wildcats
Santa Fe lost against Angleton back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Santa Fe Indians took an 82-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Angleton Wildcats. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mason Crable, who posted 11 points in addition to seven boards and five blocks. Crable has been hot, having posted two or more blocks the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaidan Mata, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 13 points.
Angleton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Braydon Campbell, who went 7 of 8 en route to 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Bryson Campbell, who went 8 for 12 on his way to 20 points.
Santa Fe's loss dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Angleton, they now have a winning record of 15-14.
Coincidentally, both will both be playing Iowa Colony the next time they take the court. Santa Fe will host Iowa Colony at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Angleton will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th.
